Electroluminescent Panel Lighting
Unlike incandescent or fluorescent lamps, EL does not abruptly fail. Instead, brightness will gradually decrease over long periods of use. The brightness level (about the same as a computer screen) of such EL panels makes them ideal for dark and semi-dark environments. The light produced is soft and complements human night vision by stimulating the rods in your eyes. Looking into the panel wont strain the eyes like most other light sources. These lamps are suitable for indoor use only.
